Job summary

Con Edison is seeking a Sr. Analyst in New York to drive analytics on gas distribution system risk and support data governance across Gas Operations.

You will extract, manipulate, and analyze data using SQL and Python to provide actionable insights, while building geo-spatial queries with GIS tools. The role emphasizes creating PowerBI dashboards, data reporting routines, and collaboration with data owners and the enterprise Data Governance Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years of full-time industry experience in gas, electric, steam or data analysis.
• Experience creating PowerBI dashboards and data visualizations.
• Proficiency with SQL and data querying for ad-hoc reporting and data governance.
• Knowledge of GIS/mapping systems and geo-spatial analysis a plus.
• Strong data governance and metadata management capabilities desired.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and implement Gas Engineering Integrity Management programs with vendor coordination.
• Develop and improve routine data reporting for multiple operating areas.
• Analyze gas system performance via data analytics and trending.
• Lead data governance initiatives, metadata, glossary and quality rules.
• Produce engineering analyses and present findings to stakeholders.
