Job summary

Bentley Truck Services, Inc. is seeking a Gas/Diesel Mechanic Level A to perform advanced diagnostics and comprehensive repairs on commercial trucks. You will ensure safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance while mentoring other technicians. The role works closely with management to improve shop operations.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience servicing light-, medium-, and heavy-duty trucks.
• Isuzu and Hino experience preferred.
• Experience performing brake jobs, 5th wheel repairs, and box truck electrical system repairs preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred) with ability to pass pre-employment and random DOT drug screenings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs; high school diploma/GED and ASE certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle systems including drivetrain, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and electrical components.
• Perform preventative maintenance services such as inspections, lubrication, and fluid/filter changes.
• Conduct safety, emissions, clutch, brake, steering, suspension, and 5th wheel inspections and repairs as authorized.
• Safely operate tools and diagnostic equipment while maintaining compliance with DOT, company safety standards, and a clean work environment.
• Accurately document repairs and inspections, communicate shop concerns to management, and support team operations as needed.
