Job summary

Insight Global client in Tempe, Arizona seeks an experienced Gas and Chemical Engineer to support design, construction, commissioning and operations for gas and chemical systems. Responsibilities evolve across the project lifecycle with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires 8+ years in gas/chemical facilities, strong drawing interpretation, and knowledge of safety standards. PE is a plus; master’s preferred. Location is on-site in Tempe, AZ with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required.
• 8+ years in gas/chemical facilities design and operations.
• PE license a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/specs.
• Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with design vendors to meet gas/chemical system requirements.
• Review drawings, submittals, and monitor construction progress.
• Support commissioning activities and equipment testing.
• Identify and resolve construction/start-up issues.
• Manage documentation, manuals, and handover for gas/chemical systems.
• Provide engineering support for operation and maintenance.
• Ensure safe, reliable operation of gas cabinets and monitoring systems.
• Perform capacity planning, troubleshooting, and sustaining activities.
• Develop system databases, shutdown plans, and expansion strategies.
• Partner with operations to optimize performance and reliability.
• Drive improvements through capital and expense projects.
