Job summary

The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency (MLGCA) is seeking an auditor to conduct compliance, economy and efficiency, and program results reviews of Lottery operations and casino activities at Ocean Downs Casino in Worcester County, MD. You will evaluate internal controls and test processes to ensure regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include planning and executing audits across casino operations, developing documentation, and presenting actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or higher with accounting coursework and auditing exposure.
Three years of experience conducting financial and operational internal audits.
Experience in finance, compliance, economy and efficiency, and program results.
Candidates may substitute CPA/CIA or a master's degree for part of the experience.

Responsibilities

Conduct compliance, economy and efficiency, and program results audits of Lottery operations.
Audit Casinos, Bingo Halls and VFWs; plan, fieldwork, reporting and follow-up.
Develop audit documentation including scope, objectives, programs, checklists and tests.
Answer audit objectives, gather evidence, support conclusions and recommend changes.
Cover audits across casino operations (slots, tables, accounting, cage, RG, marketing, surveillance, security, revenue, IT).
Perform limited scope audits at Bingo Halls and VFW facilities.
