What does this role entail?

We are looking for a dynamic self-starter for a full-time on-site Senior Level Furniture Space Planner and Designer located in San Diego, CA. This person will be responsible for creating and developing comprehensive floor plans, space planning, interior design concepts, and constructions drawings. The role involves using CAD software to visualize and implement design solutions.

Day-to-day tasks

• Work within Auto CAD to create space plans for clients
• Create renderings and compile project presentations
• Specify furniture, rugs, acoustical treatments, etc and select finishes
• Collaboration with other team members
• Project and finish meetings with clients
• Procure pricing for products specified
• Vendor meetings
• Continuing Education to keep up to date on the latest and greatest

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Space Planning and developing detailed floor plans
• Experience in Interior Design and creating Construction Drawings
• Skilled in using CAD software
• Skilled with Power Point
• Skilled with rendering tools (Sketch Up, Enscape, or similar)
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work effectively in an on-site environment
• Bachelor's degree in interior design, Architecture or related field is preferred
• Experience in office furniture is preferred, but not required
