University of Chicago seeks a communications writer to craft fundraising materials for diverse audiences, including donors and foundations. You will research, write, and edit high-level communications and reports with complex subject matter.

Under supervision, you may assist with technical materials for manuals or journals and collaborate with MBSD teams to shape communications strategy and cadence. A degree in journalism or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications or a relevant field.
• Background in a university setting or a similarly complex institution.
• Familiar with writing in a scientific field or a complex subject material.
• Background in a large or complex organization or subject matter.

Responsabilités

• Writes a broad spectrum of fundraising materials for specific audiences.
• Coordinate efforts with MBSD teams, including graphic design and senior writers.
• Project manages the team’s activity and tracks deliverables and timelines.
• Researches, writes, and edits diverse publications and reports.
