Job summary

Oliver James is seeking a Senior Fund Finance Associate for our private equity client in Chicago. Hybrid work arrangement downtown with competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits.

The successful candidate will conduct due diligence, analyze audited financials, and prepare research reports and investment committee memos to support investment decisions and team efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-5 years experience in public accounting (fund audit) or financial services.
• Exposure to alternative investments preferred.
• CPA or CFA (or pursuing) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct due diligence on fund managers and support investment recommendations.
• Analyze audited financial statements and operational processes.
• Prepare research reports, Investment Committee memos, and meeting documentation.
• Review legal and regulatory documents (e.g., offering memorandums, Form ADVs).
• Evaluate back-office operations, controls, and pricing procedures.
• Track and organize data to support team efficiency.
• Assist with manager meetings, onsite visits, and follow-up reporting.
