Northern Trust is seeking a Senior Training Consultant to join the COO Learning & Development team. You will translate business requirements into learning strategy, lead the design and delivery of learning solutions, and oversee complex programs aligned with enterprise needs on a global scale.
The role requires 5–8 years in Fund Accounting operations or training consulting, strong communication, and project management skills.

As a member of the COO Learning & Development (L&D) Team, the Senior Training Consultant consults with all levels of management to translate business requirements into learning and development strategy. Also ensures that learning and development interventions are aligned with the needs of the Business Unit and Northern Trust. A Senior Consultant is required to lead as well as work collaboratively with Training Consultants defining learning solutions that support the functional requirements. This role assists management in the development, implementation and maintenance of programs and curriculums that support management and development. Delivers and/or oversees the delivery of a wide range of learning and performance support solutions, likely to be highly visible and complex in nature. The Senior Consultant role will engage with local and regional practice leads and stakeholders to deliver the solutions required to support organizational goals at a local and global level. This role is also responsible for the assignment of work to the assigned L&D Team and is responsible for input in the performance management process for the team.
Is a technical expert with in‑depth knowledge of Fund Accounting and strong knowledge of the business unit and corporate strategy. Has strong project management capabilities. Has excellent communication, marketing, relationship, facilitation and motivational skills. Shows strong judgment in the ability to formulate plans based on needs and leadership styles of key leaders. Executes efficiently and effectively. Leadership and organizational skills are essential. For this position, we are looking for an individual that fits one of the two profiles below. An experienced operations professional willing to develop their consulting, writing and presenting skills.
Requirements include: Five to eight years of operational experience in the Fund Accounting operations function A strong understanding of complex fund structures and concepts A thorough understanding of the end-to-end Fund Accounting process Excellent communication skills Ability to work with all levels of staff Self‑starter and team player Attention to detail
An experienced training professional willing to quickly learn all aspects of the Fund Accounting operations function.
Requirements include: Five to eight years of training consulting experience Excellent communication skills Ability to work with all levels of staff Self‑starter and team player Attention to detail All candidates will be asked to present and submit a technical writing sample, either procedures or training documentation.
#LI-Hybrid Salary Range: $83,100 - 141,300 Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
