Acuity Fund Solutions is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to own the end-to-end accounting process for an assigned portfolio of funds, mentoring Associates and coordinating with the Fund Accounting Manager to set priorities. The role emphasizes independent judgment and accurate reporting.

You will review reconciliations, process transactions, and prepare investor statements and fund-level financials, serving as a client liaison on funded matters and driving improvements in processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• 2+ years across Hedge, Private Equity, VC funds, etc.
• Proven ability to independently resolve reconciliations and review junior work.
• Strong Excel skills and good judgment on variances.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end accounting and reporting for an assigned portfolio of funds.
• Review reconciliations and transaction processing; resolve discrepancies independently.
• Determine escalation needs for variances to Fund Accounting Manager.
• Prepare investor statements and fund-level financial statements for review.
• Serve as a point of contact for client questions on assigned funds.
• Identify recurring process gaps and recommend improvements.
• Mentor Associate Fund Accountants and guide day-to-day activities.

Senior Fund Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Fund Accountant owns the accounting process for an assigned portfolio of funds — exercising independent judgment, reviewing junior work, and mentoring Associates along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• — Own the end-to-end accounting and reporting process for an assigned portfolio of funds, working directly with the Fund Accounting Manager to set priorities and timelines
• — Review reconciliations, transaction processing, and supporting schedules prepared by Associates, resolving discrepancies using independent judgment rather than escalating routine variances
• — Determine when a variance requires escalation to the Fund Accounting Manager versus resolution at your level
• — Prepare investor statements and fund-level financial statements for Manager review and final sign-off
• — Serve as a working point of contact for client questions on assigned funds
• — Identify recurring process gaps or errors and recommend improvements rather than working around them
• — Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to Associate Fund Accountants

WHAT YOU BRING

• — Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• — 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience
• — 2+ years of experience across multiple fund structures (Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital Funds, and etc.)
• — Demonstrated experience independently resolving reconciliation discrepancies and reviewing junior work
• — Strong Excel skills and sound judgment on when a variance is routine versus significant

NICE TO HAVE

• — Hands-on experience with Allvue, Investran, or Advent Geneva
• — CPA license or active progress toward one
• — Prior mentoring experience
