Job summary

Acuity Fund Solutions, a fund administration firm based in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to own the end‑to‑end accounting and reporting for a portfolio of funds, working with the Fund Accounting Manager to set priorities and timelines.

You will review reconciliations and transactions prepared by Associates, resolve discrepancies with independent judgment, prepare investor statements and fund‑level financials, and mentor Associate Fund Accountants while serving as the main

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience.
• 2+ years of experience across multiple fund structures (Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital Funds, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience independently resolving reconciliation discrepancies and reviewing junior work.
• Strong Excel skills and sound judgment on when a variance is routine versus significant.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end accounting and reporting process for an assigned portfolio of funds, working directly with the Fund Accounting Manager to set priorities and timelines.
• Review reconciliations, transaction processing, and supporting schedules prepared by Associates, resolving discrepancies using independent judgment rather than escalating routine variances.
• Determine when a variance requires escalation to the Fund Accounting Manager versus resolution at your level.
• Prepare investor statements and fund-level financial statements for Manager review and final sign-off.
• Serve as a working point of contact for client questions on assigned funds.
• Identify recurring process gaps or errors and recommend improvements rather than working around them.
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to Associate Fund Accountants

The Senior Fund Accountant owns the accounting process for an assigned portfolio of funds — exercising independent judgment, reviewing junior work, and mentoring Associates along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
