Job summary

U.S. Bank Global Fund Services is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to support the Fund Accounting team. You will maintain GLs for mutual funds, ETFs, and other pools, perform NAV calculations, reconciliations, and corporate actions, and collaborate with administrators and custodians to ensure GAAP and SEC compliance.

The role involves a standard 8:30–5:30 schedule with potential shifts and locations in Tempe, AZ or Milwaukee, WI. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience are required.

  • Three or more years of accounting or finance experience.
  • Fund accounting experience with mutual funds/ETFs and related instruments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily general ledger accounting and NAV calculations.

  • Process corporate actions, accruals, and expense payments.
  • Collaborate with administrators and auditors to ensure GAAP and SEC compliance.

Job Description

U.S. Bank Global Fund Services is seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Fund Accountant to support our Fund Accounting team.

As a Senior Fund Accountant you will be a part of a team responsible for maintaining the general ledger and records of mutual funds, exchange-traded fund, local government investment pools and closed-end funds of varying complexity and producing end of day net asset value calculation. You will prepare daily general ledger accounting, prime broker/bank cash reconciliations, advisor/portfolio management processing, corporate action application, expense accrual/payment postings, daily net asset value and mill rate determinations, portfolio pricing analysis/validations, timely internal/external information distributions, portfolio reconciliations, etc. You will partner with various internal/external administrators, transfer agencies and prime brokers/custodian relationships collaborating on compliance, audit and financials, while ensuring all Fund Accounting functions are in compliance with SEC regulations and GAAP principles.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM Central time. Once fully trained, based on your hub assignment your scheduled shift may change to 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Central time.

Location: 3 or more days in the Tempe, AZ or Milwaukee, WI locations

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience
  • Three or more years of experience in accounting or finance activities

We’re excited to talk with you if you have:

  • Prior Fund Accounting Experience with knowledge of Mutual Funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), Derivatives, Bonds, Etc.
  • Working knowledge and experience with Swap (or Exchange) funds
  • Ability to communicate and research information with clients, for audits, etc.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting, reporting, and analysis
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to analyze data
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $75,820.00 - $89,200.00
