Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with the Fund Accounting team on the accounting and administration of 21 investment and private equity partnerships including financial, tax, and regulatory reporting
- Review underlying investment statements and ensure the General Ledger correctly reflects investment transactions and market values on a monthly basis
- Input fund operational transactions into the General Ledger and reconcile key accounts on a monthly basis, such as fees, capital activity, and accruals
- Calculate fund NAVs on a monthly basis
- Prepare partnership GAAP basis financial statements
- Coordinate with and prepare supporting documentation for third party service providers, including external audit, internal audit, and tax firms
- Work with the Director of Fund Accounting on the preparation of various partnership-related regulatory filings
- Assist with cash forecasting and management for the 17 private equity funds including line of credit draws, contributions, and distributions
- Respond to investor communications and requests and collaborate with internal team members to address investor needs
- Assist with the evaluation and implementation of process efficiencies and improvements using existing technologies, including the SEI Archway platform for fund and portfolio accounting and Salesforce CRM software
- 3-5 years fund accounting and/or public accounting experience including private equity fund of funds (FOF) and/or hedge funds preferred
- Accounting experience in various investment instruments including equities, fixed income, futures, private equity, mutual fund investments, and/or derivative products
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting. CPA credentials preferred
- Banking and/or wealth management industry experience a plus
- Experience working in cloud-based accounting software systems and fund accounting systems. Experience with Investran FIS and Geneva preferred
- Technology savvy with advanced Excel skills
- Enthusiasm to adopt and fully implement new technologies and platforms
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work with multiple departments within the firm and external service providers
