Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned engineer to help shape and execute functional safety V&V strategies for embedded automotive software. You will collaborate with Ford Connected Vehicle Software teams and supplier engineering groups to close safety-related gaps and advance best practices.

The role focuses on developing a FuSa V&V maturity plan with engineering stakeholders and reporting to the Director of the Office of Functional Safety Assurance (OFSA).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on embedded automotive safety software verification.
• Strong understanding of ISO-26262 Part 6 concepts and verification activities.
• Experience with safety-related tools and model-based development.

Responsibilities

• Assist teams in developing and executing functional safety V&V strategies and their work products.
• Collaborate with Ford Connected Vehicle Software and product data integrity teams to identify gaps.
• Develop a FuSa V&V capability maturity plan with engineering stakeholders.
• Report to the Director of the Office of Functional Safety Assurance.
