Job summary

THOUGHT BYTE is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst to support SAP GATP and batch determination initiatives in a remote US environment. You will configure availability checks, batch logic, and ensure accurate delivery dates across QA, manufacturing, and logistics processes.

The role requires 10+ years of SAP functional experience, strong knowledge of GATP, batch determination, CIF, and related master data, plus ITIL and JIRA Service Management proficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years SAP functional support and configuration focused on GATP and batch management.
• Strong knowledge of GATP (availability check, allocation, RBA, BOP) and batch determination (condition technique, classification, SLED/FEFO).
• OTC/supply chain processes and SD, MM, LE, PP integration understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for GATP and batch determination tickets in JSM within SLAs.
• Configure GATP: product availability check, product allocation, rules-based ATP, and backorder processing.
• Configure batch management/determination: strategy types, search strategies, batch classes, sort rules, SLED and FEFO logic.
• Gather requirements from Customer Service, Supply Chain, Planning, and Quality; write functional specs.
• Root-cause recurring issues and implement permanent fixes.
• Lead GATP/batch workstream on projects through testing (unit, SIT, UAT), cutover, and hypercare.
• Monitor ERP–APO CIF integration and master data; maintain SOPs and support SOX, quality, and audit.

Location of work: Remote

Duration: 12 months Contract

Description:

SAP GATP and Batch Determination specialist to support, configure, and improve availability checking and batch selection processes. You will resolve complex availability and batch issues, translate requirements into SAP solutions, and partner with Customer Service, Supply Chain, Quality, and IT to ensure accurate delivery dates and compliant batch selection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for GATP and batch determination tickets in JSM within SLAs.
• Configure GATP: product availability check, product allocation, rules-based ATP, and backorder processing.
• Configure batch management/determination: strategy types, search strategies, batch classes, sort rules, SLED and FEFO logic.
• Gather requirements from Customer Service, Supply Chain, Planning, and Quality; write functional specs.
• Root-cause recurring issues (incorrect confirmations, backorders, batch splits) and implement permanent fixes.
• Lead GATP/batch workstream on projects through testing (unit, SIT, UAT), cutover, and hypercare.
• Monitor ERP–APO CIF integration and master data; maintain SOPs and support SOX, quality, and audit.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years SAP functional support and configuration focused on GATP and batch management.
• Strong knowledge of GATP (availability check, allocation, RBA, BOP) and batch determination (condition technique, classification, SLED/FEFO).
• Working knowledge of OTC/supply chain processes and SD, MM, LE, PP integration.
• Knowledge of SAP APO Core Interface (CIF) and related master data.
• Strong SAP troubleshooting and functional documentation skills.
• ITIL processes and Jira Service Management.
• Bachelor's degree in IS, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Life sciences, medical device, or other regulated industry experience (GMP, batch traceability).
• SAP supply chain certification (e.g., APO).
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
