Job summary

Zoolatech is building a next-generation SaaS platform for transportation and supply chain logistics. The team creates data-driven software powering real-time insights and a large digital marketplace.

You will contribute to scalable, high-performance systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-quality code. The role focuses on end-to-end development across the stack, from frontend UX with Angular/TypeScript to backend services with Node.js, REST APIs, and GraphQL,

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Angular and modern frontend application development.
• Experience developing Node.js/TypeScript backend services.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of GraphQL and understanding of how GraphQL can be used as an API/facade layer.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end product functionality across the frontend and backend.
• Build complex and responsive user experiences using Angular and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain reusable frontend components following modern Angular development practices.
• Implement and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and microservices supporting frontend applications.
• Work with GraphQL APIs used as a facade between frontend applications and backend services.
• Maintain clear and reliable contracts between frontend applications, GraphQL services, and backend APIs.
• Translate product requirements and user workflows into scalable technical solutions.
• Handle complex user flows and multiple interaction scenarios while maintaining a consistent and intuitive user experience.
• Deliver clean, maintainable, testable, and production-ready code.
• Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering decisions within the team.
• Collaborate with Senior and Staff Engineers, feature leads, Product, and other engineering teams.
• Participate in pair programming and collaborative development where appropriate.
• Take ownership of assigned functionality from implementation through delivery and production support.
• Work independently after the initial onboarding and knowledge-transfer period, proactively identifying and communicating risks, dependencies, and blockers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices, application architecture, and development processes.

Required Experience:

• Strong experience with Angular and modern frontend application development.
• Experience developing Node.js/TypeScript backend services.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working with microservices architecture.
• Working knowledge of GraphQL and an understanding of how GraphQL can be used as an API/facade layer. Deep GraphQL specialization is not required.
• Ability to work across the full stack while being particularly comfortable solving complex frontend and user-experience challenges.
• Good understanding of software engineering principles, clean code, maintainability, and application design.
• Ability to independently take ownership of development tasks and drive them through completion.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment with engineers of different seniority levels.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to discuss technical decisions, dependencies, and implementation approaches with the team.
