Job summary

Apollo.io is seeking a senior software engineer to own major slices of Builder Studio end to end, including the chat-driven build loop, live preview, and the publish flow. You will work on problems where an agent writes and edits software, with a runtime that safely executes code using Apollo permissions and a user-friendly UI.

You will design the runtime and workflow layer for generated apps, ensure secure delegated access, and expand integrations with Apollo data and external systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and shipping production software, with depth on frontend and backend of the same product.
• Strong TypeScript and React skills, including complex, stateful UIs such as editors and builders.
• Solid backend and API design, ideally including event-driven or workflow systems.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs in production: agent loops, tool calling, context management, evals.

Responsibilities

• Build core Studio experience: chat-driven build loop, live preview, canvas, publish and share flow.
• Shape agent behavior turning natural-language goals into plans and runtime edits.
• Design runtime and workflow layer for generated apps, including triggers and retries.
• Own identity, permissions, secrets, and isolation for generated apps.
• Expand integrations across Apollo data and external systems like Google Sheets/Drive, CRMs.
• Improve UI relationships between pages, data, workflows, and agents.
• Collaborate with design partners and customers to ship improvements quickly.
• Raise quality bar on reliability, performance, and cost.
