Job summary

Mission Driven Research (MDR) is seeking a skilled, AI-native senior fullstack developer to join the Multimode Threat Simulation Development (MTSD) team in Huntsville, Alabama. You will design, build, and ship software across the stack for defense simulations, delivering high-performance, maintainable systems with guardrails for AI-assisted development.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in a scientific/engineering field, 7+ years of relevant experience, and an active Secret clearance.

• 7+ years of full-time professional engineering/software development experience.
• Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship software across the stack as part of a high-performance team.
• Develop a variable-fidelity defense simulation framework for multimode countermeasure development.
• Balance AI-native tooling with code quality to avoid tech debt and ensure maintainability.
• Lead architecture discussions and implement scalable, observable systems across services and interfaces.
