Base pay range

$60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Contract: Starts at 6 months, likely extensions

Location: Fully remote (must be located in the United States)

Main Skillset

• Previous experience building applications in a Microsoft Azure environment, migration experience is a plus
• Strong experience developing containerized code for the cloud
• Healthcare or health insurance industry experience is required

Primary Responsibilities

• Migration of Java applications/products from On-premises to Azure Cloud, including refactoring and optimizing code for cloud deployment
• Designing solutions for cloud-based events to improve cloud infrastructure operations, serving as SME for Cloud, CI/CD, Governance
• Understanding of Azure Services, Network, Security, working closely with application teams
• Design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), cost-optimized cloud solutions
• Addressing complex application and server performance issues
• Implementing logging, access controls, and remediation for security findings
• Supporting disaster recovery plans for server and application components
• Designing and implementing identity management strategies for enterprise environments

Required Qualifications

• Experience building applications in a Microsoft Azure environment, migration experience is a plus
• Strong experience developing containerized applications for the cloud
• Healthcare or health insurance industry experience is required

• 5+ years Azure Administration experience, including Azure Web Services, AKS, App Service, Key Vault, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Networking (VNet/Subnet/Private Endpoint)
• 5+ years cloud networking experience, TCP/IP fundamentals
• 5+ years troubleshooting application and database connectivity issues
• 4+ years CI/CD tools experience: Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub Actions
• 3+ years scripting/automation with Python/PowerShell/Perl, Microsoft AZ-104 certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 8+ years Java experience
• Experience with Facets Ecosystem
• Proactive application monitoring and troubleshooting experience
• Leadership experience in technical teams and stakeholder management
• Knowledge of architecture and design patterns
• Experience with healthcare and financial PHI/PII data protection

• Experience documenting processes and procedures, including support operation manuals
