Senior Full-stack Web Developer with UX and Design Emphasis

RocketLit is seeking a Senior Full-stack Web Developer with expertise in PHP frameworks, UX Design, and Backend skills for a remote, full-time position. The role involves working on our flagship assessment platform, InnerOrbit, which provides high-quality NGSS assessments and innovative reports for educators.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing and solving UX challenges with innovative UIs
• Creating engaging and consistent user experiences
• Developing dynamic visualizations using tools like D3js
• Reviewing code and mentoring junior developers
• Adopting new technologies and refactoring existing code
• Contributing to system architecture and scalability on Google Cloud Platform
• Diagnosing issues related to CPU, databases, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Building APIs and integrations, optimizing SQL queries, and implementing caching strategies
• Expanding use of worker queues and advancing CI/CD practices

The ideal candidate will have experience with complex UIs, user experience, legacy codebases, system design, MySQL, and some devops skills. Collaboration and wearing multiple hats are essential.

Qualifications:
