Job summary

Karsun Solutions, LLC is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer to guide a small team of developers and test engineers in an agile environment. The role blends hands-on coding with architectural leadership, leveraging AI tools to boost productivity and ensure secure, scalable solutions.

You will mentor engineers, drive DevSecOps practices, and collaborate with product leads to plan and deliver features for government-focused applications. A DoD security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 10+ years of full-lifecycle application development experience with AWS.
• Experience designing solutions and decomposing into modules.
• 5+ years with Agile, DevSecOps, TDD and lean methodologies.
• Experience with JIRA and CI/CD pipelines for CI, testing and deployment.
• Cloud-native development experience following industry best practices.
• Hands-on in JavaScript (React/Node), API development (GraphQL/REST), Kafka or AWS Kinesis, Lambda, SQL/NoSQL, AWS services.
• Strong SQL experience (MySQL preferred).
• AI model concepts and use of AI tools (Copilot, AWS Bedrock) for development/testing.
• Codebase governance, branching, reviews, and release processes.
• Ability to mentor and lead junior resources; security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 6-8 FTE agile team including developers and test engineers.
• Hands-on involvement across the full development lifecycle.
• Leverage AI tools to boost productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure product quality and team performance.
• Provide technical direction and mentor teams on best practices.
• Implement Agile and DevSecOps practices for quality delivery.
• Evaluate requirements, identify gaps/risks, and plan features.
• Validate architectures and drive scalable, secure solutions.
• Monitor production performance and optimize solutions.
• Drive metrics like velocity, quality and usability; foster communities of practice.
