Job summary

Clever Benefits is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong TypeScript experience to build and scale our platform across React web, React Native mobile, backend services, and AWS infra.

You will work hands-on with a small team to design, implement, and maintain production-ready full-stack features end to end, owning them from design through deployment in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Expertise with TypeScript.
• Production experience with React, React Native, and Node.js.
• Solid background in AWS services (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, etc.).
• Experience with Prisma, PostgreSQL, and tRPC.
• Comfortable working full stack and owning features from design → deployment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, onsite 2 days/week in North Scottsdale.
• Must reside within 30 miles of North Scottsdale.
• Interest in using AI to accelerate development while maintaining high quality engineering.

Responsibilities

About The Role

You\'ll work closely with our small engineering team to design, implement, and maintain production‑ready full stack features end to end.

• Solid background in AWS services (Lambda, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, etc.)


• Experience with Prisma, PostgreSQL, and tRPC


• Comfortable working full stack and owning features from design → deployment


• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, onsite 2 days/week in North Scottsdale


• Must reside within 30 miles of North Scottsdale


• Interest in using AI to accelerate development (code generation, automation, etc.) — but focused on maintainable, high-quality engineering, not \"vibe coding\"

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile app distribution workflows (TestFlight / Play Store)


• Familiarity with monorepos, pnpm/bun workspaces, or similar setups


• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (CDK, Terraform, etc.)
