Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer III in Seattle to join the Consumer & Community Banking API Marketplace team. You will help design and deliver reliable, secure, and scalable technology products as an experienced member of an agile team shaping architecture and delivering essential solutions across domains.

You will build production-grade code in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and ReactJS, applying secure coding practices while leveraging AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in full stack development: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS.
• Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, resiliency, and security.
• Knowledge of software applications and processes in cloud/AI contexts.
• Experience with AI-assisted coding tools and secure coding practices.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with appropriate systems.
• Gathers, analyzes, and develops visualizations from large data sets for continuous improvement of software.
• Identifies hidden data patterns and uses insights to improve coding hygiene and architecture.
• Uses enterprise AI coding tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and value realization.
