Referment is building a workplace financial wellbeing platform with AI-powered experiences. As a Senior Full Stack Product Engineer, you’ll own features from concept to delivery, shaping frontend, backend, and AI-driven workflows.

You’ll work with React/TypeScript, Node.js and Python services, and Google Cloud Platform, contributing to product decisions and architecture. Denver-based role with consideration for remote applicants.

Referment is working with a workplace financial wellbeing business that gives employees access to digital planning tools and professional financial guidance. Its product engineering team builds the user experiences and supporting systems that help people work towards their financial goals.

As Senior Full Stack Product Engineer, you'll take features from concept to delivery, including AI-powered experiences that reach real users. The role combines frontend architecture, backend services and integrations with product judgment: you'll help clarify what needs to be built and make practical decisions about how it should work.

Reporting to the Product Engineering Manager, you'll collaborate directly with Product, Design, Sales and other engineers. You'll work across React and TypeScript interfaces, Node.js and Python services, and cloud infrastructure, while using AI-assisted development workflows to support delivery. The role is based around the Denver team; remote applicants are considered individually.

The Role

• Design and ship user-facing AI features, turning new capabilities into useful product experiences.
• Lead projects through delivery, resolving unclear requirements with Product and Design before they slow implementation.
• Build maintainable frontend interfaces in React and TypeScript, using agent-assisted workstreams where appropriate.
• Develop backend systems, APIs and serverless functions with Node.js and Python on Google Cloud Platform.
• Balance user needs, technical constraints and delivery priorities when making product and architecture decisions.
• Improve development practices through AI-assisted tools, useful technical reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience shipping generative AI or LLM-powered features into a user-facing product, not only using AI coding tools.
• Extensive full-stack experience spanning frontend and backend architecture, API design, and relational and non-relational data models.
• Fluency with AI-assisted and agentic development workflows, including providing clear context for collaborators and agents.
• A product-minded approach, with evidence of taking a loosely defined outcome through to a working customer experience.
• Hands-on experience building scalable systems on a major cloud platform such as GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, explaining tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and supporting other engineers.

This could suit a senior full-stack or product engineer who has delivered AI features in production and wants to combine hands-on development with a direct contribution to product decisions. Strong experience on another major cloud platform is relevant; the delivery environment here is GCP.
