Job summary

MAS Global Consulting is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join one of our delivery teams in New York. You will work across backend and frontend systems, architecting and delivering end-to-end software solutions with autonomy.

Responsibilities include owning quarterly goals, collaborating with product and analytics, and building scalable backend services on AWS plus modern frontend UIs in React or Angular. You will mentor engineers and uphold engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional experience as a full-stack or software engineer.
• Strong experience designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems using .NET and AWS Cloud.
• Hands-on experience building frontend applications with React and/or Angular.
• Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of autonomy—owning analysis through delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for distributed teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

You will work across backend and frontend systems, contributing to architecture, design, and delivery of end-to-end software solutions. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy and sound judgment, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders while mentoring engineers and promoting engineering excellence.

What You'll Do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team, working independently and with minimal oversight to lead engineers through ambiguity and solve complex, end-to-end problems while ensuring successful delivery.


• Independently assess the urgency and business impact of issues and requests, adjusting your own priorities and focus accordingly, and escalating only when truly necessary.


• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle by participating in ideation, articulating technical constraints, and supporting decisions that consider risks and trade-offs.


• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using .NET, deployed on AWS Cloud.


• Build and maintain responsive, high-quality user interfaces using React or Angular.


• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring reliable and efficient deployments.


• Proactively investigate issues end-to-end — conducting your own root-cause analysis and research — and bring proposed solutions and recommendations rather than open questions.


• Proactively identify project, process, technology, or business issues, advocate for improvements, and lead their resolution.


• Support the operations and availability of applications by creating and monitoring metrics, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to \"keep the lights on\" efforts.


• Build deep, working knowledge of the application(s) and business domain quickly, reducing reliance on others for context as you ramp up.


• Foster a culture of quality and ownership by defining or improving code review and design standards, and advocating for best practices through documentation and technical discussions.


• Help develop talent by providing feedback, mentorship, and guidance, and by leading through example.

What We Look For

• Proven, independent problem-solving skills — a track record of self-directed investigation, research, and bringing forward well-reasoned solutions rather than escalating open-ended questions.


• Demonstrated ability to quickly build deep, independent understanding of complex, unfamiliar applications and systems, typically achieving strong domain fluency within the first few months in a role.


• Proven ability to define and execute technical plans for complex features or system components using clean, scalable, and extensible designs.


• Experience working in large codebases while maintaining system stability, performance, and quality.


• Strong sense of ownership over personal growth, with a proactive approach to feedback and continuous improvement.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with distributed and international teams.


• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
