Job summary

Excelacom seeks a Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to drive mobile backend platforms, device provisioning, and account management with Java/Spring Boot and modern front-end frameworks. You will own solution design, guide distributed systems, and champion CI/CD in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment.

You will mentor teams, collaborate across engineering, product, and project groups, and apply Agile practices to deliver scalable, reliable services on AWS with Kafka and NoSQL/SQL databases.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience, including 8+ years with Java, 5+ years with Spring Boot, and 5+ years leading development teams.
• Expertise in Java/Spring Boot and modern front‑end development using Angular 2+ or ReactJS, HTML, TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and CSS.
• Strong experience with REST/web services, SQL (MySQL/Postgres), NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB/Neo4J), Kafka, and JPA/Hibernate.
• 3+ years of AWS cloud development experience, including server/serverless architectures, infrastructure‑as‑code, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience designing and supporting large‑scale, highly available enterprise applications, including automated testing and test‑driven development.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, OO design, concurrency, data structures, algorithms, performance, and reliability best practices.
• Demonstrated technical leadership, communication, conflict resolution, mentoring, and ability to guide teams through ambiguity and complex architectural decisions.
• 1+ years of experience with AI‑powered development tools or AI/ML integration.
• Prior consulting experience – in an agile environment – with a leading strategy firm, consulting practice, or consulting technology firm

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering delivery across shifting priorities, mentoring team members and driving accountability, collaboration, and technical direction
• Design, build, test, and support scalable full‑stack services for mobile device provisioning, activation, account management, and carrier integrations
• Develop clean, extensible Java/Spring Boot services and modern web applications using Angular or React, REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, Kafka, and AWS
• Own solution architecture and technical designs, troubleshoot complex distributed‑system issues, and support integrations across internal and carrier platforms
• Apply Agile, paired programming, test‑driven development, CI/CD, and production support best practices to deliver reliable, high‑quality solutions
• Collaborate with engineering, product, scrum, and project teams to translate requirements into effective technical solutions and document key learnings
• Evaluate and champion AI/ML capabilities and AI‑powered development tools to improve platform features, engineering productivity, testing, and operations
• Work closely with clients to identify process improvements
• Analyze business challenges and recommend technology‑driven solutions
• Support system development, integration, and testing activities
• Develop presentations, deliverables, and implementation plans
• Assist with proposals and business development efforts
