Job summary

Metric5 is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, and document software solutions using React, NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and Vite in a modern cloud-native ecosystem.

You will work on full-stack development from responsive React UIs to robust REST APIs, with OpenShift/Kubernetes infrastructure and GitOps workflows. Collaboration with customers, testers, and teammates is essential, and a focus on high-quality, maintainable code is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience with React, including state management (Redux Toolkit), routing, and component libraries (Material-UI).
• 5+ years of experience with Node.js and server-side frameworks, preferably NestJS.
• Experience with TypeORM or similar ORMs and relational databases (MariaDB/MySQL).
• Experience with RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.
• Strong knowledge and experience with HTML5 and CSS3, including responsive design frameworks (Bootstrap, Material-UI).
• Experience with build tools such as Vite, SWC, and npm workspaces (monorepo architecture).
• At least 3 years of experience with agile development methodology, preferably SAFe or Scrum.
• At least 3 years of experience developing applications for enterprise business customers.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical design, development, and documentation of software solutions.
• Develop responsive React UIs using Material-UI and Redux Toolkit.
• Build robust REST APIs with NestJS and TypeORM backed by MariaDB/MySQL.
• Design and document REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Collaborate with customers, test engineers, and team members throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code and practices.
