Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a senior Full-stack Developer in Southern California to join a major investment management client in a high-potential engagement. You will work in a SCRUM team, aligning with client and business analysts, and contribute to a world-class web services code-base.

Responsibilities include end-to-end development of Java and Typescript, requirement analysis, code reviews, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

• 5+ years commercial development experience.
• Frontend: Angular and Typescript.
• Backend: Spring/Hibernate; messaging (JMS/Kafka/RabbitMQ) desirable.
• Cloud and container tech: AWS, Docker, OpenShift, Kubernetes desirable.
• Strong SQL knowledge; Postgres/Oracle experience desirable.
• Development best practices: GoF, SOLID; tests coverage; deadlines oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work in a SCRUM team, close with client and business analysts; understand requirements and identify changes.
• Develop and present recommendations from analysis; assist in code peer reviews, build and test enhancements.
• Identify areas for code refactoring and contribute to development processes and procedures.
• Demonstrate strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Responsible for full-stack development of Java and Typescript code to meet specs; develop world-class web services.
• Estimate effort and break down tasks; assess cost and risks of changes.
