Job summary

Diaconia is seeking a Full Stack Developer/Sr. Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications in a mission-critical environment. The role emphasizes Java Spring Boot microservices, Oracle Exadata integration, and OpenShift deployment.

You will work in an Agile team, contribute to code reviews, optimize performance, and ensure secure, scalable solutions. U.S. citizenship and active security clearances are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, including 3+ years of full-stack
• 5+ years of professional full lifecycle software development using Java Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and/or modern front-end frameworks
• 5+ years of professional experience with big-data migration efforts that include development of efficient complex SQL queries, PL/SQL, stored procedures and performance-tuning strategies for Oracle Exadata
• 5+ years of professional experience in development of microservices within an OpenShift / Kubernetes environment leveraging Jenkins, Git, Maven or similar technologies
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with OpenShift or other Kubernetes-based platforms (containerization, pod management, CI/CD pipelines)
• U.S. Citizenship required due to highly sensitive federal client responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Conduct analysis of legacy source code to assist in decomposing requirements into user stories
• Conduct full-lifecycle implementation to meet approved user stories and acceptance criteria
• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java Spring Boot, RESTful APIs and modern front-end frameworks
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-tuning for Oracle Exadata
• Build, deploy, and manage microservices in OpenShift with CI/CD pipelines
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and architecture discussions for scalable and secure apps
• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams on sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Implement monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
