Job summary

JPMorganChase in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java/React Software Engineer III to design and deliver scalable, secure, and high-availability software solutions within the Consumer & Community Banking - Business Banking Technology team.

You will own end-to-end development for Java/Spring Boot and React/Angular, build resilient services with Kafka, and mentor engineers while upholding secure engineering practices in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
• Experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and validating AI outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use and secure engineering practices.
• Strong full-stack delivery using Java/Spring Boot + React/Angular.
• Experience with Kafka producers/consumers in Java.
• Experience with Aurora PostgreSQL or equivalent databases.
• Cloud Foundry/AWS and building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Observability tools: Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana.
• Secure engineering practices and cyber security controls.

Responsibilities

• Leverages AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve value of automation.
• Own design and delivery for full-stack features (Java/Spring Boot + React/Angular).
• Build resilient services and integrations (Kafka/eventing).
• Drive engineering quality through reviews, automation, and CI/CD improvements.
• Improve production readiness with monitoring and runbooks.
• Mentor engineers and standardize best practices.
