Apex Systems, LLC is seeking a Software Engineer 4 – Full Stack Java Developer (Contingent) in Iselin, NJ. The role focuses on building a centralized enterprise solution to manage expiration dates, renewals, governance controls, and compliance tracking across certificates, licenses, and other assets.

The candidate will design and develop both front-end and back-end components, define scalable frameworks, and contribute to the long-term enterprise expiration management platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Java development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Angular, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Experience designing portal-based applications, inventory management, or governance platforms.
• Strong understanding of governance, compliance, operational controls, and tracking frameworks.
• Experience supporting applications through the full SDLC including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and Microservices.
• Build and maintain a centralized inventory and expiration tracking platform.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services supporting certificate and compliance management workflows.
• Design responsive UI using Angular; implement governance, reporting, and workflow capabilities.
• Develop databases with JPA/Hibernate; participate in architecture discussions; support testing, deployments, and production support.
