Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of software development/engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and MongoDB.
• Experience building REST APIs and distributed applications.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and maintain Java-based microservices and applications.
• Develop REST APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud.
• Design and support Kafka-based data pipelines and real-time applications.
• Work with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, and other databases and caching technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement lasting solutions.
• Support and enhance existing and legacy applications.
• Design systems that are scalable, reliable, secure, and built for high availability.
• Create architecture and technical design documents, UML diagrams, data flows, and API specifications.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, and other DevOps tools.
• Deploy and support applications in Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, AWS, or other cloud environments.
• Monitor application health and performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
• Write automated unit and integration tests using tools such as JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, and Postman.
• Work with security teams to incorporate secure development practices.
• Help manage technical debt and identify opportunities to simplify and reuse solutions across teams.
• Explore new technologies and build prototypes when they can improve the team's solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and help continuously improve team processes.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices across the team.
