Job summary

Cadmus is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join a multi-year Federal contract, delivering modern web apps with Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. You’ll work on Agile teams, craft RESTful services, and integrate front-end with backend systems in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in Java/Spring and Angular, experience with Azure, containers, and DevOps practices, and a proven track record of delivering enterprise applications.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Java/Spring development.
• 3+ years of Angular/AngularJS development.
• Experience working on Agile/Scrum development teams.
• Extensive experience with the Spring ecosystem, including: Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring Data/JPA/Hibernate & REST APIs
• Strong front-end development experience with Angular/AngularJS.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the Agile software development lifecycle, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, development, testing, deployment, and retrospective activities.
• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications using Java and Spring/Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using Angular, AngularJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Design and implement RESTful web services and APIs using Spring Boot.
• Integrate front-end applications with backend services and databases.
• Develop application components following established coding standards, design patterns, and development best practices.
• Work with relational databases, including SQL Server, and develop efficient SQL queries and database integrations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across development, test, and production environments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving application quality, performance, security, and maintainability.
• Translate functional requirements into technical designs and implementation tasks.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver application enhancements.
• Develop unit and integration tests and support automated testing activities.
• Maintain and enhance existing and legacy applications while incrementally introducing modern Spring and Angular technologies when they improve maintainability, reliability, or delivery efficiency.
• Participate in application deployment and production support activities.
• Mentor junior developers through code reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, application flow diagrams, and implementation guides that support development, deployment, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer.
• Identify and implement improvements that strengthen application performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
