Job summary

Patriot Software, a remote-first payroll and accounting software company, is seeking a Software Engineer III for a full-stack Vue & .NET role. This remote-first position supports customers nationwide, partnering with engineers and product teams to deliver scalable web applications.

You will design, develop, and maintain features, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and testing. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of experience and deep knowledge of .NET Core, C#, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 4–7 years of professional software development experience
• Proficient in .NET Core, C#, and Entity Framework
• Experience with PostgreSQL and transactional systems
• Understanding of microservice architecture and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS)

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web-based applications
• Collaborating with other engineers and cross-functional team members to deliver business value
• Participating in code reviews and technical discussions
• Writing clean, tested, and well-documented code
• Contributing to architecture and design conversations
• Supporting and improving development practices (e.g., CI/CD, testing, monitoring)
• Supporting production systems, including participating in on-call rotations as needed
• Engaging in continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team
• Communicating progress, blockers, and risks in a timely and transparent way
