Job summary

Forbes Advisor is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to design and implement scalable solutions. You'll lead cross-functional efforts, ensuring best practices while mentoring other engineers.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in both frontend and backend technologies, especially React and Node.js, and a proven ability to deliver complex projects. This role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 12+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years in full-stack development.
• Deep expertise in React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Proven experience architecting complex systems and influencing tech direction at scale.
• Strong communication, mentorship, and leadership-by-influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect complex full-stack solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in React and Node.js.
• Drive alignment with product, design, QA, and DevOps.
• Set and enforce coding standards, review code, and guide design discussions.
• Optimize applications for speed, efficiency, and scalability.
• Guide and upskill senior engineers and engineering leads.
