Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join a DoW program team modernizing mission-critical applications. You will design and build features across React/TypeScript UIs and Java/Spring Boot or Node.js services, with secure SSO, and event-driven processing in a Kubernetes/AWS GovCloud environment.

You will work in two-week sprints, deliver working software each sprint, and mentor peers while adhering to DoW security standards and accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications

• Interim Secret clearance or four additional years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development, including 3+ years of full stack work.
• Production experience with Java (Spring Boot) or Node.js (TypeScript).
• Production front-end experience with React and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and working with PostgreSQL or similar databases.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum teams and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build features end-to-end across React/TypeScript UIs and Java/Spring Boot or Node.js services.
• Implement SSO and access control using Keycloak, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, and SAML.
• Develop event-driven services using Kafka, Debezium, and a unified PostgreSQL store.
• Create dashboards and USWDS-based UI components across micro-frontends with accessibility WCAG 2.1 AA.
• Develop REST APIs, business rules (DMN), and ensure code quality with tests (JUnit, Jest, Playwright).
• Mentor teammates, review code, and help set design/security/testing standards.
• Collaborate with DevSecOps to deploy via CI/CD and address security findings.
