Job summary

Spear AI is seeking a skilled Full-Stack Engineer to build the next‑generation data management and AI platform for maritime domain awareness. This remote role offers the chance to work on real‑world defense‑related projects supporting national security.

You’ll collaborate across hardware, software, and services divisions, delivering scalable, high‑quality software and integrating ML components. You’ll join a small, fast‑moving team focused on polish, performance, and robust code.

Qualifications

• Strong full‑stack engineering skills with attention to detail and type safety.
• Experience building data-driven applications and APIs for large-scale systems.
• Proficiency with modern frontend stacks (TypeScript, React, Next.js).
• Experience with Node.js, GraphQL, REST APIs, and SQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Build out application components and pages for the platform.
• Implement historical and real‑time data feeds and pipelines.
• Design data models using PostgreSQL and Apache Iceberg (if applicable).
• Modify data pipelines with MQTT/Redpanda and batch processing with Dagster.
• Integrate machine learning models into the application.
• Improve development workflow and CI/CD with modern tooling and GitHub Actions.
