Job summary

Rustici Software is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a remote/in-office hybrid team. The role focuses on full stack development, with front-end TypeScript and Vue and back-end in Java/Python, deployed on AWS.

You will maintain existing products, write specifications, and drive features end-to-end while mentoring peers. You should be comfortable with multiple languages, strong problem solving, and collaborating across product and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Strong web application development using contemporary frameworks and languages.
• Experience with front end SPA development (Vue/React) and HTML/CSS.
• Experience with automated tests (unit/integration/end-to-end).
• Familiarity with Agile processes, estimation, version control, and release management.
• Unix CLI tools experience preferred.
• Experience deploying web apps in AWS is beneficial.
• Ability to write technical/functional specifications and mentor others.
• Cross-team collaboration with support, product, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve one or more Rustici software products.
• Write technical specifications for larger features.
• Take features from start to finish with autonomy.
• Identify new work from customer feedback and team needs.
• Participate in weekly standups and ongoing technical discussions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote continuous learning.
