Job summary

Ambient.ai seeks a Full-Stack Engineer to scale its real-time AI security platform. You will build and optimize software ingesting massive video/event data, turning signals into actionable intel for large enterprises.

You’ll work across front-end and back-end teams, delivering mission-critical applications deployed in customer environments. Collaborating with product, design, and operations, you will enhance APIs, data pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 4+ years building scalable web services.
• Experience with Python, Django, and React.js.
• REST/GraphQL APIs, relational DBs (MySQL, Postgres) and streaming pipelines.
• Understanding of pub-sub systems and indexing.
• Cloud operations experience (AWS, GCP).
• Experience with Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ or similar.
• Experience building SaaS products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain full-stack features using React, TypeScript and Python.
• Partner with product and design to translate user needs into intuitive interfaces and high quality workflows.
• Create and maintain APIs and backend services across edge devices, cloud services and client applications.
• Optimize performance across the stack for responsiveness, reliability and scalability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions including data storage, caching, service boundaries and partitioning.
• Review code, mentor other engineers and promote strong engineering practices.
• Work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps tooling.
• Participate in planning, design reviews and cross-team collaboration.
