Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team is seeking a Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native applications using React on the UI and Java/Spring Boot on the backend.

You’ll develop and integrate REST APIs, collaborate with product, UX, QA, and DevOps, and contribute to Agile delivery across the globe. This hybrid role requires a hands-on engineer with 6–7 years of experience, strong UI/backend skills, and familiarity with Azure and microservices.

Qualifications

• 6-7 years of full stack software development experience.
• Frontend: React and JavaScript/TypeScript; Backend: Java, Spring Boot.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack applications using React (UI) and Java/Spring Boot (backend).
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing web interfaces.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Partner with Product, UX, QA, and DevOps teams for end-to-end delivery.
• Participate in Agile development (estimation, sprint delivery, code reviews).
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues across UI and backend.
• Ensure code quality through testing, CI/CD, and secure coding practices.
