Treatwell is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer (React & Java) to own features from database to UI, spanning legacy Backbone and modern React/TypeScript. You’ll pair with engineers, designers and PMs to ship features each cycle, emphasizing automated testing and strong observability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with a strong web focus.
• Experience across frontend and backend, delivering full features end-to-end.
• Proficient with React/TypeScript and Java/Spring Boot.
• Strong testing and observability mindset; data-driven decisions.
• Comfort with remote and colocated teams; good English communication.

Responsibilities

• Own features across the stack from database to UI, across legacy and modern code.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and PMs to ship features each cycle.
• Emphasize automated testing and end-to-end coverage.
• Improve observability with metrics, dashboards, and alerts (Datadog, Sentry).
• Design and build backend services and APIs in Java/Spring Boot.
• Instrument work, measure impact, and use data to scale ideas.
• Participate in engineering guilds and balance trade-offs across systems.
• Navigate a hybrid codebase and build internal tools for Operations.
