Recurly is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build our marketing and customer engagement platform using Ruby on Rails on the backend and Vue.js on the frontend. The role focuses on data-driven, customer-facing features and scalable backend services powering real-time personalization, campaign delivery, and transaction support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with full-stack scope.
• Proven Ruby on Rails experience including ActiveRecord and API design.
• Strong JavaScript proficiency with SPA architectures and front-end performance.
• Experience owning features end-to-end and delivering complex projects.
• RESTful API design with versioning, authentication, and third-party integrations.
• Database fundamentals with MySQL or similar relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Full-Stack development across Rails and Vue.js from API design to front-end experiences.
• Contribute to architecture and engineering patterns.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews and feedback.
• Improve backend/frontend performance, quality, security, and observability.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Customer Success to translate problems into solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted tooling to accelerate delivery and value.
• Work in an Agile, iterative environment with frequent shipping and incident reviews.
• Participate in incident resolution and post-incident reviews.
