Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer 4 to lead a portfolio of modern software projects. You will guide a team of developers across distributed microservices and full stack systems, delivering scalable, compliant solutions that support millions of customers nationwide.

You will work with Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Docker, Kubernetes, and various AWS services to build and operate robust cloud-based platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 4 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or virtualization tools

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Mentor engineers, contribute to coding standards, and drive performance and reliability improvements
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions
• Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy
• Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks
