Job summary

CSI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to serve as a full-stack development SME on a federal AI Support Services program. The role designs, builds, and sustains production-grade applications using a PERN stack and Infrastructure-as-Code, while applying Agile/Scrum practices across the software development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of software engineering experience, deep knowledge of relational databases, and expertise in CI/CD, Git workflows, and observability

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of software engineering experience, incl. full-stack development.
• Hands-on with multiple development frameworks and software architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of relational databases; PERN stack experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide extensive software development and technical leadership.
• Apply Scrum/Agile methodologies throughout the lifecycle.
• Design and implement applications using PERN stack (PostgreSQL, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform) to manage environments.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and Git-based code management.
• Integrate observability tooling into engineering workflows.
• Direct system installations and upgrades.
• Develop software by studying information needs and mapping processes.
