Overview

As a member of our Business Systems Engineering team, you will build or improve tools that are used daily by external customers, partners and internal go-to-market teams. Our goal is to find bottlenecks and friction points, drive process improvements, and come up with technical solutions. Our team is the custodian of data that is used by sales, order, finance, and support teams. We emphasize automation over operation, metrics over anecdotes, iteration over perfection, and being proactive over responsive.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement technical solutions using Cloud Based Technologies such as AWS, Salesforce, or GCP.
• Build tools and features that enable our Partners to better transact with Verkada.
• Improve systems observability and invest in reliability & correctness of data.
• Develop customer empathy to propose improvements to systems.
• Lead projects from ideation to release.
• Help and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering with a focus on web-based tools with excellent user experience.
• Shipped customer-facing products or internal tools in the past.
• Flexible and adaptive in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Passion for observability and reliability.
• Full stack software engineering experience with the ability to work on the latest front-end technologies built on cloud infrastructure like React, TypeScript, and Redux.
• AWS Cloud experience touching foundational blocks like Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, and EC2.

Annual Pay Range

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).

$130,000 - $280,000 USD
