Job summary

Fantom Corp in Chantilly, VA is seeking an Expert Software Developer to design, develop, and modernize enterprise applications powering mission systems. You will work across full-stack development, building secure, scalable solutions with Java, Python, JavaScript and Angular.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of professional software development experience, strong OO design, and Agile expertise. The role requires on-site work and current polygraph clearance to support critical intelligence

Qualifications

• Must be fully cleared with a recent polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Approximately 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level experience in full-stack development using Java/Python, RESTful APIs, and enterprise frameworks; or front-end development using JavaScript/Angular.
• Experience with Agile software development environments.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, OOP principles, and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software for mission-critical operations.
• Build scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and/or Python.
• Create responsive UI with JavaScript and Angular.
• Lead design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Support automated testing and software quality initiatives.
