Position Summary

We're looking for an experienced, collaborative, and resourceful Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. Our Early Bets initiatives are critical to EarnIn’s success, providing new experiences and products for our users to ensure they are empowered with a more comprehensive ecosystem of solutions. We seek engineers who thrive in uncertainty and excel at defining technical solutions in ambiguous environments and collaborating closely with Product teams to refine requirements. The ideal candidate has experience building 0‑to‑1 products end‑to‑end, demonstrating a strong ability to design and implement scalable architectures across the full stack that support rapid product evolution. Candidates with backgrounds in early‑stage software products engineered for scale or those who have worked in Research & Development for new technologies willfit well in our team.

The base salary range for this full‑time position is $195,821 – $279,825 plus equity and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. This is a remote role in the US, however those local to Mountain View (headquarters) will require in‑office work 2 days a week.

What You’ll Do

• Partner with Product and Design to define, build, and evolve user experiencesacross the full stack using modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Own and evolve both frontend and backend architecture to ensure scalability,performance, accessibility, and long‑term maintainability.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex frontend systems using React,TypeScript, and Next.js, including SSR, routing, data fetching, and performanceoptimization.
• Design and build robust backend services and APIs using Python and Django,with a focus on reliability, security, and scale.
• Establish and uphold full stack engineering standards, including patterns, tooling,testing strategies, and CI/CD best practices.
• Drive cross‑team technical initiatives, aligning frontend and backend architecturewith platform capabilities and product strategy.
• Proactively identify technical risks and opportunities across the stack, providingclear technical direction and tradeoff analysis.
• Mentor and guide engineers across frontend and backend disciplines, raising thebar on code quality, architectural thinking, and delivery practices.
• Design and implement robust unit, integration, and end‑to‑end automation testsacross the full stack.
• Define and monitor full stack metrics (performance, reliability, user behavior) toinform product and technical decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s (or higher, e.g., MS, or PhD) in Computer Science or a relatedtechnical field involving coding, or equivalent technical experience.
• Proficiency in backend development using Python and Django, including RESTful,API design, data modeling, and service architecture.
• Strong experience with frontend architecture, including state management,component design, design systems, and performance optimization.
• Experience designing and operating backend systems at scale, includingdatabases, caching, queuing, and API integrations.
• Experience building and operating production applications using both server‑sideand client‑side rendering.
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices across the SDLC,including testing, code reviews, observability, and operational excellence.
• 4+ years of industry experience, with meaningful depth across both frontend andbackend development.
• Experience working in cloud‑based environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure),particularly as it relates to full stack delivery and integration.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, LLMs)
