Job summary

BIP US is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, develop, and optimize enterprise data solutions in a fast-paced financial services setting. You will work with Markit EDM, Python, Snowflake, and APIs to deliver scalable data workflows and applications.

The role emphasizes building reliable backend services and UI components, with strong collaboration across data engineers, QA, and business stakeholders in an Agile environment. Remote/hybrid options available.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of software engineering or full stack development in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Markit EDM / Cadis, including data workflows, loaders, data models, UI components, or integration points.
  • Strong experience with Python for backend development, automation, data processing, APIs, or workflow support.
  • Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, ingestion, transformation, performance tuning, and data validation.
  • Experience developing and supporting REST APIs, backend services, and application integrations.
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data lineage, batch processing, and enterprise data workflows.
  • Experience with production support, incident management, root‑cause analysis, and application troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery, sprint planning, estimation, and technical documentation.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support full stack applications that integrate with Markit EDM and enterprise data platforms.
  • Build and enhance front‑end and back‑end components for data ingestion, workflow management, monitoring, reporting, and exception handling.
  • Develop Python‑based services, automation scripts, APIs, and utilities to support market data processing and operational workflows.

  • Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, Markit EDM developers, QA teams, and production support teams in an Agile delivery model.
  • Participate in unit testing, SIT, UAT, deployment support, migration activities, and release documentation.
  • Create technical documentation including design specifications, support guides, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Support job scheduling, monitoring, recovery procedures, and incident resolution for time‑sensitive data workflows.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data and application solutions within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role will work closely with Markit EDM developers, data engineering teams, business users, and technology stakeholders to enhance critical data workflows, build scalable applications, and support enterprise market data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Markit EDM, strong full stack engineering capabilities, and practical experience using Python, Snowflake, SQL, APIs, and modern application frameworks to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and support full stack applications that integrate with Markit EDM and enterprise data platforms.

  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.
  • Prior experience mentoring junior engineers or supporting small technical teams.

**The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000, with flexibility for exceptional candidates**
