Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Full-stack Engineer to lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and mentor engineering teams. You will work across distributed microservices and full-stack systems, applying Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript while leveraging Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS ecosystem.

You will partner with product leaders to define roadmaps, drive architectural decisions, and deliver cloud-based solutions that impact risk management and customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field
• At least 6 years of experience in software engineering
• At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices and full stack systems
• Mentor engineers and participate in internal/external technology communities
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions for millions of users
• Design and implement scalable, reliable architectures across multiple teams
• Drive end-to-end development of large-scale, cloud-native systems with strong performance
• Partner with architects to define platform roadmaps and shared services strategy
