Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA), is seeking an Application Engineer Lead for a contract engagement in Scottsdale, AZ, with options in Atlanta, GA or Omaha, NE.

The role blends backend C# API work with frontend Angular UI development across enterprise web apps in the financial services space. You will own design, development, and support of REST APIs, Angular components, and CI/CD pipelines, collaborating with product teams and QA to deliver value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficient in C# and ASP.NET Core for REST APIs and SOA.
• Experience with Angular 18+ and TypeScript.
• Strong SQL Server skills including queries and schema design.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiar with unit and integration testing frameworks.
• Strong web fundamentals: HTML5, CSS3, responsive design.
• Knowledge of Agile practices like sprint planning and backlog grooming.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement REST APIs and backend services in ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Build responsive, user-friendly Angular UIs with TypeScript.
• Optimize SQL Server queries and maintain database schemas.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Support and improve applications via Azure DevOps from planning to deployment.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and code reviews.
• Refactor and modernize existing applications and explore new tech that adds value.
