Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Full-stack Engineer 4 to drive a major transformation across the enterprise. You will lead a portfolio of distributed systems and mentor engineers while collaborating with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions that empower millions of Americans.

You’ll work with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, and TypeScript, leverage Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, and set standards for design, development, and operations in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with at least one public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure).

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company
• Mentor engineers and participate in internal & external technology communities
• Collaborate with product managers to deliver cloud-based solutions for millions of Americans
• Define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks with architects
• Identify and reduce technical debt and enhance system performance
